Motorsport South Africa (MSA)

MSA is the governing body of all motor sport in South Africa. This organization ensures that all motor sport is conducted in a fair and safe manner. MSA is serious about environmental issues and have strict rules and regulations by which all members must abide. Events not endorsed by MSA are strictly forbidden for its members and you can have your licence revoked if found guilty of such misconduct. MSA issues permits to event organizers - it is your duty to request site of the required said permit numbers from the organizers before participating in any event.

MSA requires all its members to belong to an approved Club before issuing a MSA license. Annual licence fees are payable to MSA, irrespective of the type of racing you anticipate for the season. More on medical insurance and licensing fees can be found on www.motorsport.co.za

Clubs and where to ride:

Johannesburg and surrounding areas have numerous MX tracks suitable for Quads and 2-Wheelers.  In the West Rand (Randfontein) you will find the most popular Dirt Bronco Raceway. This race facility consists of a Mini MX track (small to moderate jumps), a Flat Track, a BIG MX track, Kiddies track and an Outride.

In Alberton, you will find the Zeemans track just off Klip River Road. Zeemans is probably the most popular 2-Wheeler track in Gauteng. This track will introduce Quad MX in 2010 for the first time ever! The track consists of a MX track, a Flat track, a Kiddies track and an Out Ride.

Close to Brakpan, The Rock Raceway is situated off Main Reef Road (Snake Road off ramp on the N12). This all new moto cross track promises a ride to remember.

ERORA track in Kempton Park is another popular track. ERORA regularly host events to suit all forms of dirt riding.
