A chat with Pro Quad MX Pilot Bruce de Kock on the 2009 Quad MX Race Season

The Quad MX race season was at best dismal with so many of the top riders starting the season and only a handful actually finishing.
I at least have an excuse as after two years off due to serious injury I only got back on a quad in April 2009 and slowly got my confidence & fitness back on track but I must say it has been and still is a real struggle as my heel injury is a constant hindrance to riding and training.
Anyway my first race back after two years and I took podium 1st place at the Northern Regions Championship event at Dirt Bronco race way which really got me amped and got my confidence back on the track.
I got podium 2nd place at the next and last regional championship at Wild Thing race way I got a DNF in the 2nd heat due to a collapsed hub.
I also entered the first ever in Africa Quad Semi MX Night Race Series there was no Pro Open Class so I entered the Pro 450 Class and finished on the podium 2nd place overall for the year so all in all after two years off the track and having to get my fitness from zero to acceptable it was not a bad year for me.
I am on the KTM 505SX for the 2010 season and will be racing in the Pro Masters class for the South African Northern Regions Championship and the Pro Open Class for the Club and Dirt Bronco Night Series events.
I have been training hard and hope to have an injury free 2010 season.
